DISTANCE, REST AND PERSONAL SPACE

Heavy & Long-Range Jet Charter
for Larger Parties & Nonstop Reach.

A longer flight makes the arrangement of the cabin part of the itinerary. Think about who needs to sleep, who wants to work and how the group will use its shared space. A long-range brief should explain the experience you need during the journey as carefully as the places you want to reach.

PRICING ORIENTATION

Heavy & long-range jet hourly rate bands.

Heavy jets: typically ~$10,500–$15,500+ per flight hour. The specific long-range aircraft and mission determine the proposal.

Reviewed October 2026. ALINARI-selected North American Part 135 planning bands, benchmarked against Paramount Business Jets Charter Cost Guide, Magellan Jets Charter Cost Structure, Clay Lacy Hourly Rate Factors. Published categories and rates vary; Magellan’s premium rates may exceed these bands, and Clay Lacy is historical cost-factor context. Base hourly planning bands exclude positioning legs, 7.5% U.S. Federal Excise Tax (FET) on taxable domestic flights, federal segment fees, FBO/handling charges and international fees. Billable minimums and other trip-specific expenses may also apply. Explore the Planning & Pricing Guide.

THE ONBOARD EXPERIENCE

Multi-zone cabins, berthing & cabin attendant service.

Regional mission planning

For heavy and long-range jet planning, assess Teterboro (KTEB) or Aspen-Pitkin County (KASE) to Naples (KAPF), Miami-Opa Locka (KOPF) or Nassau (MYNN) against the full passenger and baggage brief. Aircraft size does not establish airport suitability: the carrier must confirm runway performance, conditions and the flight plan.

Use the airport and hourly-rate planning guide to frame the route, then have the operator confirm performance and the Private Charter Desk coordinate the onward air-to-sea itinerary.

Distinguish seated and sleeping capacity

Ask for the proposed aircraft’s floor plan and a description of the actual sleeping arrangements. Identify which places become beds, which remain seats and whether preparation affects circulation or another traveler’s space. Decide how much separation your party wants, and whether everyone expects to rest at once. A passenger maximum and a comfortable overnight arrangement answer different questions.

Plan zones, meals and connectivity

Explain the sequence you imagine: a meal after departure, quiet time, a meeting or sleep before arrival. Ask how the cabin layout supports it and what the proposed catering and service arrangements involve. Confirm connectivity, power and any cost or coverage limitations on the specific aircraft. Do not include private work documents or detailed health information in this preliminary brief.

Treat time as part of the route

Use clear local dates and times for each departure, arrival preference and onward commitment. International journeys may cross date boundaries, so ask the provider to restate the schedule unambiguously. Consider whether your plans allow a stop or need a different routing. For a yacht connection, the flight arrival is only one milestone; add entry formalities, transfer and the boat’s boarding window.

Check the full mission and luggage

List everyone traveling and the complete baggage profile, including items that must stay accessible. Ask how the operator has assessed the mission with that load and the proposed conditions. Reference range is an orientation figure with assumptions, not a promise of nonstop performance. If an alternative aircraft is proposed, revisit the seating, sleeping and luggage features rather than assuming that the category preserves them.

MODEL-SPECIFIC REFERENCE POINTS

Long-range flight planning & airport suitability.

Published model references help you compare specifications. Your proposal will identify the actual aircraft or vessel and its configuration.

BEFORE COMPARING QUOTES

Full-party luggage, dining & international handling.

A memorable interior is aircraft-specific

Cabin zones, bedding, lavatories, entertainment and onboard connectivity vary with configuration. A generic photograph or manufacturer layout should not replace current information about the aircraft in the proposal.

Keep commercial commitments separate

Review the written quote and agreement for the exact itinerary, inclusions, conditional charges, payment schedule and change terms. A saved plan, model comparison or inquiry receipt does not confirm the flight or any connected yacht charter.

CATEGORY QUESTIONS

Questions to confirm on a heavy jet charter.

Does the largest published range make the best choice?

Not by itself. Compare the actual route assessment with the cabin, rest and luggage needs of your party. An aircraft that fits the operating mission still needs a configuration that suits the journey you want.

When should travel documents be supplied?

Flag that the trip is international in the initial brief, but keep passport numbers and identity documents out of an initial charter brief. A verified provider should explain the appropriate secure process and current requirements when the real itinerary is being arranged.
