LIFE ACROSS TWO HULLS

Crewed Sailing Catamaran Charter
for the Exumas, Abacos & Keys.

A sailing catamaran invites a different planning conversation: how your group wants to share its living spaces, use its cabins and experience time under sail. Begin with that balance. The term “catamaran” describes an arrangement of hulls, but it does not tell you the exact accommodation, access, motion or service of the yacht being offered.

PRICING ORIENTATION

Weekly crewed catamaran rate bands, APA & Bahamas VAT.

Across weekly crewed catamarans & motor yachts, a broad planning range is ~$30,000–$150,000+ per week before charter taxes and APA. Vessel size, season and service shape the individual proposal.

Reviewed October 2026. ALINARI-selected planning bands reviewed alongside MYBA — charter agreement framework and IYC — luxury yacht charters for market and charter-term context. These are not published MYBA tariffs; the exact day band is ALINARI guidance. Bahamas yacht charters are subject to 10% Bahamas VAT and applicable Bahamas Port Department charter fees (confirmed per vessel in the written charter agreement). For multi-night plus-expenses charters, plan for 25%–35% APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance), subject to vessel terms; some require more. Applicable Florida sales/charter tax applies to Florida coastal charters. Explore the Planning & Pricing Guide.

THE ONBOARD EXPERIENCE

Why twin-hull catamarans excel in the Exumas & Keys.

Choose the sailing experience first

Explain whether sailing is central to the holiday or one enjoyable part of a relaxed stay. Ask how the captain would balance passages, stops and your desired activities, and what alternatives would be considered if conditions change. For a shorter day request, choose a realistic local objective. An eight-hour booking does not establish the distance that can be sailed or guarantee a particular itinerary.

Review each cabin, not just the total

Request the current layout of the actual boat. Compare bed arrangements, cabin access and bathrooms, then confirm which spaces are allocated to guests and which to the captain or other crew. Name any need for separate beds or cabins near one another. Manufacturer layout choices and a photographed owner’s version may differ from the configuration available for your charter.

Trace the routes people will use

Look at the path from the dock to the yacht, from the shared living area into the hulls and from the boat to a tender. Ask about steps, boarding equipment and useful handholds where these matter. Discuss shade and seating for the whole party. A wide-looking platform should never be used as a substitute for checking whether the actual trip suits a person’s access requirements.

Agree the practical life aboard

For a term charter, describe your preferred pace, meals aboard, provisioning needs and time ashore. Confirm who prepares food, which service roles are included and where they are accommodated. Ask about baggage storage, connectivity and the arrangements for overnight comfort. For a day charter, focus on changing space, bathrooms and the few items the party needs rather than assuming every cabin is available for casual use.

MODEL-SPECIFIC REFERENCE POINTS

Shallow draft, beam stability & anchorage access.

Published model references help you compare specifications. Your proposal will identify the actual aircraft or vessel and its configuration.

BEFORE COMPARING QUOTES

Private hull cabins, saloon flow & soft-bag storage.

Power and sail need separate briefs

A power-catamaran model’s specifications should not be attached to a sailing model with a similar name. Check the exact model, propulsion type and vessel identity on every proposed option.

Equipment is an itemized request

Name the activity you want and ask what is aboard, suitable for your group and permitted at the planned stops. A mention of water toys does not establish the exact inventory, supervision or availability.

CATEGORY QUESTIONS

Questions to confirm on a crewed catamaran charter.

Does a catamaran guarantee a smoother holiday?

Avoid a guarantee based on hull type. Explain your comfort concerns and ask the operating provider about the chosen vessel, likely conditions and route alternatives. The decision should include the actual party and itinerary.

Why do similar models show different cabin numbers?

Layout and crew accommodation can differ. Compare the current plan of the offered vessel and confirm which cabins your party may use. The hull-specific reference example shown here illustrates one arrangement; it does not define every yacht carrying the same model name.
