Crewed Motor Yacht Charter: South Florida Day & Bahamas Term Stays.
A motor-yacht brief can begin with a simple wish: spend good time together on the water. Make that wish specific. A four-hour celebration, an eight-hour outing and several nights aboard place different demands on the yacht. The arrangement of shaded seating, dining, indoor space and boarding access deserves as much attention as its length.
South Florida & Bahamas day yachts: typically ~$6,500–$12,000 per day. Weekly crewed catamarans & motor yachts: typically ~$30,000–$150,000+ per week before charter taxes and APA.
Reviewed October 2026. ALINARI-selected planning bands reviewed alongside MYBA — charter agreement framework and IYC — luxury yacht charters for market and charter-term context. These are not published MYBA tariffs; the exact day band is ALINARI guidance. Bahamas yacht charters are subject to 10% Bahamas VAT and applicable Bahamas Port Department charter fees (confirmed per vessel in the written charter agreement). For multi-night plus-expenses charters, plan for 25%–35% APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance), subject to vessel terms; some require more. Applicable Florida sales/charter tax applies to Florida coastal charters. Explore the Planning & Pricing Guide.
THE ONBOARD EXPERIENCE
Day charters vs. multi-night coastal & island stays.
Give a day charter one clear priority
Say whether the main event is a meal, a local cruise, time at anchor or a suitable swim stop. Ask the provider to explain how boarding, the briefing, movement between stops and the return fit inside the requested hours. Confirm the departure and return location. Adding a distant destination can change the entire day; it should not be slipped into the brief as an assumed extra.
Walk through the shared spaces
Ask for current photographs and a plan of the exact vessel. Can your party sit together in shade, dine in the preferred setting and move between the deck and salon comfortably? Check the steps, handholds and the route to the bathroom. Describe any boarding assistance needed without sending detailed health records. A generous-looking deck photograph does not show every access or seating limitation.
For an overnight stay, allocate cabins
List who needs each cabin and whether doubles, twins or separate sleeping arrangements matter. Ask which accommodation remains available after crew arrangements are considered. Discuss storage, ventilation, nighttime comfort and privacy between cabins. Keep day guests, people sleeping aboard and crew as separate counts. A stated number of beds does not establish the permitted passengers for a particular charter operation.
Ask what the service actually covers
Describe the meals and atmosphere you want, then establish whether the proposal includes delivered catering, onboard preparation or a chef. Confirm guest-area service and any additional crew rather than inferring them from the yacht’s size. Ask which equipment is aboard and which activities require separate arrangements. Written scope makes a comparison useful when two attractive vessels include different services.
MODEL-SPECIFIC REFERENCE POINTS
Cruising speed, draft & certified guest capacity.
Published model references help you compare specifications. Your proposal will identify the actual aircraft or vessel and its configuration.

Bathroom arrangements
Standard: 1; alternative: 2 plus crew cabin
Published model alternatives, not the layout of an offered boat. No overnight guest maximum or permitted day-passenger count is inferred.
Ask which local area, movement assumptions and fuel allowance the offer covers. Some day-charter packages distinguish local cruising from longer or faster journeys. Get additional-distance or fuel charges confirmed before choosing the route.
Make the final quote readable
Separate the base hire from applicable charges, requested extras, transfers, any deposit and gratuity arrangements. A planning estimate cannot establish the vessel’s actual inclusions or promise an all-in cost.
CATEGORY QUESTIONS
Questions to confirm before signing a motor yacht charter.
Can the same yacht suit a day and a week?+
It may, but evaluate the two experiences separately. Day seating and shade do not answer cabin, storage and overnight-comfort questions. Ask the provider to confirm availability, minimum duration and the exact layout for your intended stay.
What should I say about food?+
Describe the meals, style and service level you want. Have a verified provider explain its preference process before sharing sensitive dietary details. Catering delivered to the dock and meals prepared aboard are different arrangements; confirm which is included.
